Founded by Liludy, a licensed nail technician with a genuine passion for the beauty industry, Golden Lotus was built on a simple vision: to bring exceptional nail care, premium products, outstanding cleanliness, and heartfelt hospitality to the local community we proudly call home.

As residents of a neighboring town, we’ve always admired the warmth, charm, and close-knit spirit of Haddam. Since late 2024, we searched for the perfect location where we could build something truly special. In late 2025, we found that place at 1610 Saybrook Road in Haddam, conveniently located behind Wonder Paws Pet Spa.

From the beginning, our goal was never to simply open another nail salon.

Our vision was to create a salon where quality, cleanliness, comfort, and genuine hospitality come together to provide an experience our clients can trust and enjoy.

For clients looking for a healthier alternative to traditional nail polish, we proudly offer Dazzle Dry®, an innovative, vegan nail system that dries in just minutes without the need for UV light. Its long-lasting performance and cleaner formulation make it an excellent choice for those seeking beautiful nails while minimizing exposure to many of the harsh chemicals commonly found in conventional nail polish.

Our salon also specializes in modern nail enhancement systems, including Builder Gel, Gel-X, and custom nail artistry, allowing us to provide beautiful, durable, and personalized results for every client.

Most importantly, we never believe in rushing appointments. Every service is thoughtfully scheduled, allowing our technicians the time to focus on precision, comfort, and personalized care.

Our Commitment to Cleanliness

Every reusable metal implement follows a comprehensive multi-step sanitation and sterilization process designed to exceed standard salon practices.

Step 1 – Thorough Cleaning

Every implement is carefully washed and hand-brushed to remove all visible debris before moving to the next stage.

Step 2 – Professional Disinfection

The implements are then disinfected using professional-grade Barbicide, following all Connecticut State sanitation requirements and manufacturer-recommended contact times.

Step 3 – Ultrasonic Deep Cleaning

Next, the implements are placed into our ultrasonic cleaning system, where high-frequency sound waves help remove microscopic debris from tiny crevices that cannot be reached through manual cleaning alone.

Step 4 – Professional Dry Heat Sterilization

Finally, the implements are processed in our professional commercial-grade medical dry heat sterilization system. Unlike basic consumer sterilizers, we invested in equipment designed for professional environments, providing an additional level of protection beyond standard salon disinfection.

Once sterilized, the implements remain protected until they’re ready to be used for your service.

Single-Use Items

Whenever possible, we use single-use disposable items to help maintain the highest standards of cleanliness. Nail files, buffers, toe separators, pedicure sandals, and many other disposable supplies are used for one client only before being discarded. They are never reused between clients.

For us, investing in professional sterilization equipment and high-quality disposable supplies wasn’t just another business expense. It was an investment in our clients’ confidence, comfort, and peace of mind.
